Core Logging Geologist

Looking for a short-term contract without committing to months away? This Core Logging Geologist role offers a defined project starting in late September, with the flexibility of three 8/6 swings or a single 14 days on, 7 days off, 7 days on arrangement.

You’ll be joining an established WA gold operation, working primarily across diamond core logging and the accurate collection and compilation of drilling data.

The role is FIFO Perth to Kambalda, working 12-hour day shifts. It’s a good fit if you’re between roles, have some availability over the coming weeks, or simply prefer shorter contract assignments where you can step in and contribute from the outset.

You’ll be focused on the geology rather than taking on a broad operational remit. Your core logging experience will be put to use supporting the drilling program and ensuring geological data is captured accurately and consistently.

To be considered, you’ll ideally bring:

• At least one year of diamond core logging experience
• Previous WA gold experience is strongly preferred
• A sound understanding of geological data collection and compilation
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a site-based geology team
• A current manual or automatic driver’s licence
• Availability to mobilise in late September.

As this is a short-term requirement, the role will particularly suit someone who can get up to speed quickly and is already comfortable working with diamond core in a WA gold environment.
