Exploration Geologist

If early-stage greenfields exploration is your passion, this contract will put you right at the front end of an active copper-gold program in the Northern Territory.

You’ll join a small exploration team working across geophysical sampling and a diamond drilling program, with the opportunity to see the project develop as new geological information comes in.

As the Exploration Geologist, you’ll be involved in field sampling, supervising diamond drilling, logging copper and gold mineralisation, sampling core and ensuring geological data is accurately captured and managed. Working within a small team, you’ll also support the broader field program as exploration progresses.

We’re looking for a geologist with a minimum of four years’ exploration experience, ideally with exposure to copper and/or gold and diamond drilling. You’ll need to be comfortable working remotely and operating as part of a small field team.

You’ll need:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Minimum 4 years’ exploration experience
• Diamond core logging and sampling experience
• Copper and/or gold experience preferred
• Competency with GIS software
• Current manual driver’s licence
• Current First Aid
• National Police Clearance within the last 12 months
• 4WD experience or certification preferred.

This is an initial 3-month contract on a 2/1 roster, with the potential to extend for a further three months depending on the results of the drilling program.
