Senior Resource Geologist

Ready for your next step in resource geology? Take on greater technical ownership and leadership responsibility within an established WA gold operation.

Working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, you’ll take a lead role within the Resource Geology team, reporting to the Geology Superintendent. You’ll work back-to-back with another Senior Resource Geologist and lead a panel of four Resource Project Geologists.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You’ll oversee the quality and delivery of resource models and estimates, while providing direction, mentoring and technical support to your team.

Your scope will cover resource modelling and estimation, orebody interpretation, Resource and Reserve reporting, reconciliation and QA/QC. You’ll also contribute to infill drilling programs and geological data quality, working closely with other technical teams to ensure models support mine planning.

Importantly, you’ll remain close to the geology rather than moving into a purely people-management position.

You’ll ideally have:

• 7+ years’ geology experience
• 3+ years’ resource modelling experience
• Narrow-vein gold and production experience
• Strong modelling, estimation and geostatistics skills
• Vulcan, Datamine and/or Leapfrog experience
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
