Underground Geologist

This is a residential opportunity for an Underground Geologist to join a well-established gold mining operation in the Goldfields. Working an 8/6 roster with 11-hour days, you’ll get consistent exposure to underground production geology while maintaining a genuinely family-friendly roster.

You’ll be part of an experienced technical team, working closely with mining and drilling crews to support safe and efficient underground production. Your role will cover geological interpretation, underground and core sampling, production data and contractor supervision, giving you plenty of opportunity to stay hands-on and continue developing your technical capability.

The scale and maturity of the operation provides a strong environment for a Geologist looking to build their underground gold experience. You’ll have established systems, experienced people around you and the opportunity to work with geological software including Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire.

What you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Geology
• 2+ years’ experience within the resources industry
• Underground and/or gold mining experience highly regarded
• Strong sampling, QAQC and geological interpretation skills
• Current unrestricted WA C class manual driver’s licence
• Goldfields resident or willingness to relocate.

This could suit someone already based in the Goldfields, or a Geologist ready to make the move for a residential role offering strong technical exposure and an 8/6 roster.
