Geology Assistant - Expression of Interest

Not every geology assistant role is the same. On one site, you might be supporting production geology underground. On the next, you could be orientating and marking up core in a busy core yard, or helping an exploration team run a remote drilling program hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town.

Whether you're wrapping up a contract, planning your next move, or just curious about what's happening in the market, we'd love to hear from you.

MPI partners with mining and exploration companies across Australia. If you'd rather spend less time hunting through job ads for your next opportunity, register your interest with us. When something comes along that matches your experience, preferred roster and location, we'll be in touch.

We're keen to connect with experienced Geology Assistants, Field Assistants, Pit Technicians, Underground Geology Technicians and Core Yard Technicians for current and upcoming FIFO contract opportunities. Our clients operate across a range of commodities, projects and mining environments, with most roles flying from Western Australia and Queensland.

To be considered, you'll need:
  • At least 6 months' experience in a geology support role
  • A current Australian manual driver's licence
  • A current national police clearance.

Highly regarded:
  • Forklift Ticket
  • HR Driver's Licence
  • First Aid & CPR Certification.

Whether your next move is a few weeks away or a few months down the track, let's start the conversation before you need your next contract. That way, when the right opportunity comes up, we'll already know what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
