Experienced Recruitment Consultant
Recruitment without the awkward pitches?
Not every great recruiter enjoys ringing companies who’ve never heard of them.
In this job, the business development is already done for you. No blind sales calls. No guessing what companies care about. No “just touching base” chats.
Our marketing, research, and long-standing relationships have done the heavy lifting for you. So, you’ll be stepping into warm, informed conversations with people who aren’t looking to hang up after 30 seconds.
Your job isn’t to chase work. It’s to deliver it better than anyone else. If you like recruiting, without torching relationships, you’ll feel at home here.
Great recruiters never stop learning.
You’ll have the opportunity to build on your knowledge. You’ll grow your expertise in mining and technical recruitment with regular training sessions and a clear development plan. You’ll be supported by experienced coaches to sharpen how you communicate, influence and recruit.
With agreements in place with some of the biggest names in mining, 95% of your work will be speaking with people who’ve heard of you. The other 5%? That’s where our business development and marketing teams will back you.
You’ll have the right tools and support that make your job easier: Integrated tech, marketing, onboarding, payroll, and business development teams that have your back, so you’re freed up to focus on what you do best.
A positive workplace with the rewards to match
You’ll be based in West Perth. A 5-minute walk from the CBD. You can enjoy flexible working with one day from home each week. When you need a holiday, we'll look after your desk, so you’re not coming back to 500 emails.
Culture isn’t a buzzword here. MPI recently won the 2025 Constructive Culture Award for leadership, employee experience, and ongoing culture measurement. Everyone pulls together to make it a great place to work.
You can also enjoy a highly competitive salary with one of the industry's most rewarding bonus structures.
About you:
You have a desire to succeed. You enjoy building relationships and you’re comfortable having honest conversations with people. You can easily pick up on what people need and you enjoy working in a supportive team.
Experience in technical recruitment helps, ideally 18 months or more. Experience in mining is a bonus, but it’s not essential.
If you’re done with the pointless calls and dead ends, let’s put that right for you today.
Everybody will hear back.
Unfortunately, MPI is only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary visa permits to work and reside in Australia.
