Senior Business Analyst

  • Permanent full-time position with a leading mining company

Work for one of the largest gold producers in Australia, nestled in the scenic South West, just 130 kilometres from Perth CBD and approximately 100 kilometres from the coast.

Opportunity:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the business operations, driving cost management, and influencing important commercial decisions. With a combined annual operating and capital expenditure exceeding AU$1 billion, your expertise will directly impact the success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and analyse intricate cost drivers within Asset Management, particularly in Process Plant and Mining Maintenance.
  • Assist Site Business Managers in a second-in-command capacity when necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end procedures, serving as a bridge between on-site Operations and regional accounting teams.
  • Lead departmental cost review meetings, identify improvement actions, and support decision-making.
  • Manage and oversee the site's capital expenditure system and processes, including Investment Evaluation Models.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within Newmont and Business Partners.
About You:
  • Tertiary Qualification – Degree in Accounting CA/CPA.
  • Substantial management accounting experience, with mine accounting experience being desirable.
  • Dynamic, driven, energetic, and positive attitude.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated Systems experience (BPC Tools, SAP ERP, Microsoft Excel, and PowerBI).
